Welcome to Year 1!

The classes in Year 1 are Lime Class and Pear Class.

Lime Class: Mrs. Eeles (class teacher)

Pear Class: Miss Parker (class teacher)

Mrs. Cutt (class teaching assistant across both classes)

In Year 1, we promote an ethos of: Respect; Integrity; Compassion; Humility; Endeavour; and Responsibility.  These values are shared throughout our school community.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to talk to a member of the Year 1 team - they will be more than happy to help.

Our aim for our Year 1 children is to promote a love of learning through lots of discussion and questioning to help deepen and further their thinking.  We enjoy coming across different problems and learning how to solve them.  The Year 1 children are encouraged to become more independent with their learning and thinking but they also understand that it is okay to ask for help and make mistakes.
